dalton darnell spends his summer with meridian

Meet Dalton Darnell, a third-year law student from The University of Alabama School of Law. Dalton is spending his summer with Meridian conducting legal research, drafting legal memoranda, conducting firm research projects, and assisting attorneys however needed. Dalton is currently a Senior Editor for the Alabama Law Review, an Alabama Law Academic Success Fellow, a Moot Court Board Member, and was recently a quarter-finalist in the 2L Moot Court Competition.

If you ask Dalton what defines him most, it is that if he commits to something, he will make sure he does it well. He works hard and knows that success builds confidence. While most students take a while to settle in, Dalton knew the importance of hitting the ground running and ended his first semester in law school in the top 10% of his class.

Dalton is excited about how many different areas of law practice exist and is amazed at how the law touches almost every aspect of society. Although he is still determining the area of law he wants to focus on in the future; he feels confident that whichever direction his career takes him he will be able to provide value and help others.
