The Meridian Forest
What is the meridian forest and why is it important to us
In addition to helping our clients, we feel it is important to give back to our communities. Each of us volunteer our time by serving on boards of social and civic organizations, coaching and mentoring, and serving as an extra hand wherever needed. If you’ve read our bios, you’ll notice that we all love being outdoors. It just made sense to include some type of environmental service to our ‘giving back.’ After much research and many conversations, we decided to establish partnerships with ForestNation and the Tennessee Environmental Council (TEC). Going forward, we will be doing our part in helping to reforest our planet, both locally and across the world by gifting our clients and partners with bare root trees and seedlings to plant in their own yards, in areas to replace trees lost to development, in areas to repair degraded streams and improve water quality, and areas that need improved habitat for wildlife and pollinators. Plus, its just a fun way to leave something for future generations.
our partnerships
Forest Nation:
You plant, we plant: For every THANK YOU seedling kit we send, ForestNation plants 10 trees in the Meridian Forest located in the Usambara Mountains of Tanzania. So that is 1 tree in Tennessee and 10 in Tanzania.
Provides jobs: In addition, each THANK YOU tree kit is made in Tennessee, thus providing jobs through ARC.
Tennessee Environmental Council:
The THANK YOU bare-root trees that we are giving to clients and partners are native to Tennessee and help the TEC reach their goal of planting 1 Million native trees by 2025.
To help ‘battle’ the consequences of development, replanting native trees helps restore habitats for wildlife and pollinators, increase property values, and cools and cleans the atmosphere.
