Eric Lyons Wins Trial Simulation

Meridian’s Eric Lyons was one of 12 Tennessee attorneys who recently participated in the 2022 Tennessee Defense Lawyers Association (TDLA) Trial School. A unique opportunity to sharpen and refine litigation skills, the TDLA Trial School offers classroom instruction and feedback from veteran trial lawyers. The Trial School culminates in a simulated trial session where participants argue their client’s case from voir dire and opening statements, direct and cross examinations of fact and expert witnesses, and closing argument.

At the conclusion of the trial simulation, a jury of TDLA members and other volunteers renders a verdict. We are proud to say that Eric’s team received a winning verdict. “I am always looking for ways to grow as a litigator so that I can continue providing our clients with the best possible representation,” Eric said. “TDLA’s trial school gave the 12 of us the unique opportunity to conduct a one-day jury trial from start to finish and receive personalized, one-on-one feedback from seasoned trial lawyers. It was a great opportunity to continue honing my trial advocacy skills, and I look forward to using them in the courtroom.”
