Emma A. Anderegg
Associate Attorney
Emma is excited to return to Meridian Law as an Associate Attorney, focusing her practice on civil litigation. She brings more than a year of litigation experience gained through clerkships and summer associate positions with Meridian and other firms in Tennessee and Iowa. She first joined Meridian as a Summer Associate in 2025, where she gained hands-on experience drafting pleadings and motions, researching complex legal issues, and helping attorneys develop litigation strategies in employment, tort, and contract disputes. After completing law school at the University of Iowa College of Law, Emma is thrilled to continue her legal career with a team and firm she already knows and loves.
Emma brings a strong foundation in legal research, persuasive writing, and analysis to her litigation practice. Her experience includes reviewing discovery, evaluating legal arguments, and helping prepare cases for hearings, mediation, and trial. During law school, she served as a Note & Comment Editor for the Journal of Gender, Race & Justice and competed in the National College Athletic Infractions Hearing Competition, advancing to the semifinals in 2026. She also served as a graduate teaching assistant for an Introduction to Law course, helping students strengthen their understanding of legal concepts and writing. These experiences helped sharpen her attention to detail and reinforced her appreciation for clear communication, thorough preparation, and thoughtful advocacy.
For Emma, being an attorney is about more than understanding the law. It’s about understanding the people behind the legal issues. She recognizes that a lawsuit can bring uncertainty, stress, and difficult decisions. She is passionate about helping clients understand their options, feel prepared for each stage of their case, and make informed decisions about how to move forward. Whether working toward a negotiated resolution or preparing a case for court, she believes effective advocacy begins with listening carefully and taking each client’s concerns seriously.
When she’s not working, Emma enjoys spending time with her husband, friends, and family; traveling; and finding new restaurants to try. Emma is a proud Hawkeyes fan, an enthusiastic pickleball player, and a firm believer that the correct word is ‘pop,’ not ‘soda.’ She is also her family’s unofficial “fix-it” daughter, a title earned after years of helping her dad with projects.
One thing is certain: Emma brings curiosity, hard work, attention to detail, and a bubbly personality to everything she does. Meridian is excited to have her back.
