Josh Swafford
Associate
Josh graduated from Vanderbilt University Law School where he was a Nationals Qualifier for the National Moot Court Team, an Executive Member of the Christian Legal Society, and a member of the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court. During his law school summers, Josh interned for the Nashville District Attorney’s Office, the Attorney General’s Office, and jumpstarted his litigation career by obtaining a limited practice license to conduct hearings and write motions in criminal court.
Before law school, Josh also graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Political Science and Spanish from Union University and spent a summer studying abroad at the University of Granada in Spain.
Josh was born and raised in Nashville, proof that true Nashville natives do still exist. He is committed to helping his hometown clients navigate their legal issues by using his research and advocacy experience.
When he isn’t helping clients, Josh serves as an English as a Second Language Tutor for Hispanic immigrants through his church. He is also a newly elected board member for Cottage Cove, a local non-profit that focuses on helping at-risk children.
As graduate and lifetime Vandy fan, he attends as many Vanderbilt games as possible. When he isn’t there, you can likely find him at a Titans game or traveling to new another new city on his bucket list.
