Tanner Gibson

Senior Litigation Counsel

Tanner Gibson began his career as a Social Studies teacher and assistant football coach for Metro-Nashville Public Schools. While he loved teaching, he soon realized that his true passion revolved around enforcing and defending the rights of those around him - whether for his students, fellow faculty, or ultimately, his clients.

As a part of the Meridian litigation team, Tanner will be helping clients with general liability, business disputes, defense against criminal charges, professional liability, injury, wage and employment issues, and insurance defense.

Tanner attended Vanderbilt University Law School where he was active in the Harry Phillips American Inn of Court, the Vanderbilt Mock Trial Board, Legal Aid Society, Law Students for Social Justice, and the American Constitution Society.

A Tennessee native, Tanner moved from Jackson to Nashville to attend Belmont University. He fell in love with Nashville and is passionate about making it a better place for everyone to live. Currently, Tanner is a board member and co-chair of the Committee on Homelessness for the NBA Young Lawyers Division. When he isn’t helping clients, Tanner enjoys spending time with his three children and training for his next marathon.
