Meridian Welcomes Summer Associate Kealy Welage

Meridian Law is excited to introduce our summer associate, Kealy Welage. Kealy is a rising third-year at Belmont University College of Law where she serves as Moot Court President, Executive Events Editor of the Belmont Law Review, Student Ambassador, and an active member of the Belmont College of Law American Inn of Court. This past spring, Kealy was named the 9th Best Oral Advocate and 3rd Best Brief at the ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition. In addition to Meridian, Kealy is working as a summer research assistant for Professor Kristi Arth. In the fall, she will be clerking for The Honorable U.S. District Judge Eli Richardson, Middle District of Tennessee. We are delighted to have her on our team this summer.

Before law school, Kealy graduated cum laude from Butler University with a B.A. in Music Industry Studies and a minor in Marketing.

“Kealy has only been here a week and is already making an impact at Meridian,” says Tom Shumate, Meridian’s founder and managing member. “She provides timely, detailed, and thoughtful research and demonstrates a sincere interest in learning the law and growing as a litigator. We’re thrilled to have her this summer and appreciate her efforts on behalf of Meridian and our clients.”
